Thinking of seafarers at Christmas

December 18, 2018

At this time of year many of us think about our families and look forward to spending time with them over the holiday period.

For many seafarers, their Christmas will be spent away from family and friends, on the high seas keeping us supplied with food and fuel. Here at ISWAN, our SeafarerHelp team will be working 24/7 including Christmas and New Year’s Day, and ready to answer any calls from seafarers and their families.

Take a look at our stories for examples of how SeafarerHelp assists seafarers. Here are some messages the SeafarerHelp team has received:

'I can’t explain my gratitude in words. You have been very supportive… Thank you very much. You are amazing!'

Seafarer

'Right now, we wish to thank you fully because finally we will be going home…and our passports have been returned to us. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. God bless you and your team for giving fast support and assistance.'

Seafarer

'Now I do not feel alone anymore. And for your good cooperation, from the bottom of my heart thank you so much, may God bless all of you.'

Seafarer

'Thank you for all your care and assistance towards my family. On behalf of my family, I would like to express my appreciation and gratitude to your organisation. Your kindness will be remembered in my heart – never forgotten!'

Although we receive generous support from grant funders we still need to raise funds to keep SeafarerHelp going. Can you help this holiday by making a donation?
